Wellbeing Program Manager
About this Role
Humanists Australia is seeking a passionate and self motivated Wellbeing Program Manager to join our collaborative and autonomous volunteer team. At Humanists Australia, we are dedicated to helping Australians lead ethical, compassionate, and fulfilling lives without religion. Our Wellbeing Program plays a crucial role in this mission by helping qualified non-religious care workers provide vital support in areas like the military, aged care, prisons, schools, and local communities. Key Objectives
Accredit and support community companions (mental health first aiders) as well as Humanist Chaplains and Pastoral Carers.
Build, sustain, and engage a robust, active network of secular wellbeing workers across the country.
Oversee the strategic development, budgeting, and administration of HA's Wellbeing Program.
Foster collaboration and partnerships with external stakeholders to create new wellbeing opportunities and further our mission.
Skills Required
Strong commitment to secularism and social justice, accompanied by exceptional written and oral communication and advocacy skills.
Experience or training in marketing, fundraising, and managing a program budget.
Comfort with our current technical stack (Zoom, GSuite, Squarespace, Slack), or a willingness to undergo training.
Desirable: Qualifications or training in a wellbeing-related field (e.g., non-religious chaplaincy/pastoral care, social work, psychology, or community mental health).
Desirable: Five or more years of experience providing wellbeing support in relevant areas of practice.
Desirable: An understanding of humanism, humanist values, and how they apply to ethical wellbeing care.
