Humanists Australia

Helping people lead compassionate, ethical and fulfilling lives without religion

Family with child look at a laptop as though reading on the screen. The father is pointing at something on the screen. The parents are biracial and the young girl has a ribbon in her hair.

What is Humanism?

Humanism is a way of life that provides meaning and fulfilment without religion. Take our fun quiz to find out if your values align. Engage with other humanists and learn more about humanism through our events and publications.

Building Communities

Humanists Australia is establishing communities around the country where humanists can meet and support each other, and engage in interesting and enjoyable activities.

Heartfelt Ceremonies

Celebration of life events is a very human thing. In the past, weddings, funerals and other ceremonies have usually been held in places of worship. We help people to find celebrants to arrange heartfelt, authentic, non-religious ceremonies.

Taking action

Humanists Australia is building an influential voice effecting positive social change in keeping with humanist values. We campaign on issues such as climate change, voluntary assisted dying, human rights and the Voice referendum.

Caring for others

Humanists Australia’s Wellbeing program is dedicated to helping qualified non-religious care workers fill roles providing support for people in areas like the military, aged care, prisons, schools and communities.
