Science talks, critical thinking workshop, comedy, prize giveaways, audience participation and Nate's signature quirky sciency music, all with stunning visuals at the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium. Nate Eggins
Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and award-winning science communicator based in Brisbane/Meanjin, Australia; a cross between Tim Minchin & Dr Karl Kruszelnicki.
Nate's songs and live performances explore science, psychology, social commentary and rationalism, showing listeners how to recognise fake science and irrational thinking. His aim is to encourage scientific literacy, critical thinking and new perspectives on the world through a quirky sense of humour and catchy melodies. His music is for fans of Tim Minchin, Weird Al Yankovic & Ben Folds.

Career highlights so far:
· A yearly sold out show at the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium during National Science Week, starting in 2023 with his debut album launch.
· Receiving an award in 2023 from the Australian Skeptics for "The promotion of reason, science, critical thinking and skepticism through music, art and interactive activities".
· Touring nationally since 2018, performing for audiences in QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS and WA.
· Working with the QLD Museum to perform during World Science Festival Brisbane in 2024 and running a science communication workshop in 2026.
· Working with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki who featured on his song 'Can You Guess My Star Sign?' and launching a new creative avenue co-writing songs with scientists about their fields of research.
· One album, one EP and three singles released so far.
· Songs being nominated in the International Songwriting Competition, the 'Listen Up Music' Songwriting Prize, NCEIA Dolphin Awards and Great American Song Contest.

Nate is always looking for new ways to communicate scientific literacy and critical thinking skills through his fun songs, comedy-esque TED talk rants and the occasional prop with a special focus on inclusivity. His strongest supporters tend to be in neurodiverse, LGBTQ+ and disability communities and his content is always family-friendly.
