Apology & Correction
This week, the Humanists Australia (HA) Board issued a correction to an organisational announcement confirming the recent appointment of our new CEO, Dr Dave Scott and the prior departure of Dr Heidi Nicholl from that role. The announcement briefly recognised Dr Nicholl for her wonderful work, wishing her every success as she steps into new ventures. However, one version of the organisational announcement inadvertently omitted to include the designation of “Dr” with Dr Nicholl’s name.

Dave joins Humanists Australia as our CEO after a long career in community and international development. He has considerable experience in substantive social reforms and holds a PhD in social science from the Queensland University of Technology. Dave is a rights-based advocate committed to leading inclusive and impactful social change.

Humanists Australia welcomes new Program Administrator
Humanists Australia would like to officially welcome Ange Miller who was recently recruited as Program Administrator. In this role Ange assists with day to day operations of Humanists Australia’s programs such as the paid membership program, fielding enquiries and communications from members and the general public about the work we do, and tasks more generally contributing to the growth and development of humanism in Australia through the national organisation.
